Smart (trifocal) Lens applications

Trifocal lenses, called smart lenses, are a type of lens that is replaced by the patient's own defective lens, which is melted in the surgery performed on patients with cataracts at an advanced age (50 years and older), that is, their own lens of the eye is impaired. Thanks to these trifocal lenses, patients who have cataract surgery do not need glasses in the near, middle and far distances.

As an exceptional case, patients after the age of 40-50 can be fitted with such lenses by performing cataract surgery, when near vision deteriorates before cataract formation and the need for near glasses arises. This method is the only method that can be used for patients over the age of 40 who do not want to use near and far glasses. Because laser surgeries such as LASIK are no longer suitable for this age group.
